A total of 61 pints of blood were collected yesterday in a blood donation campaign organised by the Tourism Development Department at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT), in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital.
The campaign at the ministry’s Setia Pahlawan Hall was organised in conjunction with the Day of Action. Staff from the MPRT, along with members of the public, participated in the campaign during both the morning and afternoon sessions.
The blood donation campaign aimed to provide an opportunity for donors to help increase the supply of blood at the Blood Donation Centre.
It also sought to encourage individuals, including ministry personnel, to take on their social responsibility and make blood donation a lifelong health habit. – James Kon
