Brunei Darussalam is sending a contingent of 61 athletes to compete in the upcoming 21st SUKAN MALAYSIA (SUKMA) 2024 to take place in Sarawak, Malaysia from 17 to 24 August.
The country’s athletes will be competing in eleven sporting events, namely aquatics, athletics, chess, e-sports, fencing, karate, pencak silat, netball, sepak takraw, taekwondo, and wushu.
A national flag handing-over ceremony for the Brunei contingent took place on Thursday at the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports.
The guest of honour at the ceremony was Minister of Culture Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, who handed over the flag to the Chef de Mission of Brunei contingent Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly. – JAMES KON
