The Mosque Affairs Department, through its Belait District Mosque Affairs Office in collaboration with Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque Takmir Committee, conducted an animal slaughter workshop at the mosque’s premises yesterday.
Some 60 participants comprising mosque affairs officers, and members of the mosque takmir committee across the Belait District learnt the correct steps and laws of properly slaughtering an animal in line with the teachings of Islam.
The workshop was facilitated by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji haslan bin Haji Shahbudin who briefed participants and led the practical sessions on the proper slaughtering of an animal.
The workshop aimed to expand Islamic knowledge and encourage congregants to participate and enliven mosques with beneficial activities.
The workshop concluded with a presentation of certificates by Head of Mosque Affairs in the Belait District Imam Akup bin Haji Lamat to the participants.
