56pc of students obtain top grade in SSSRU

The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through its Examinations Division of the Islamic Studies Department, as the Secretariat of the Brunei Religious Education Examination Board (LPPUB), released the Religious Primary School Education Certificate (SSSRU) results for 1442 Hijrah yesterday.

Out of a total of 4,411 candidates who sat for the SSSRU examination, 4,144 candidates scored at least 93.95 per cent.

The agency also revealed that 2,473 candidates (56.06 per cent) obtained Grade One; 654 candidates (14.83 per cent) obtained Grade Two; and 1,017 (23.06 per cent) obtained Grade Three.

Meanwhile, 71 out of 147 (48.30 per cent) schools and examination centres achieved a 100 per cent passing rate.

Principals of religious schools have been told to obtain the candidates’ result slips for their respective schools from the Examination Division of the Islamic Studies Department on July 18, and the students, who sat for the examination, to collect the slips from their respective religious schools.

Parents or guardians wishing to obtain their children’s results via SMS can do so by typing KHEU (space) REG (space) Examination Centre Number (space) Candidate Index Number (space) IC Number, and send to 8885555 (for DST subscribers) or 38666 (for Progresif subscribers).

Successful registrations will be informed through SMS for free and the examination results will be sent via SMS after issuance with a fee of BND1 for each SMS received.
