55 retired officers, staff acknowledged

Some 53 officers and staff of Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) and departments under it who retired in 2021 received retirement gifts in a ceremony at the ministry’s Theatre Hall yesterday.

Acting Minister of Finance and Economy Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid presented the gifts to the retirees.

The Chair of the ceremony Deputy Permanent Secretary (Fiscal and Corporate) at the MoFE Hajah Chairani binti Haji Sulaiman conveyed her gratitude to the retirees for their contribution and services to the ministry.

Among the objectives of the ceremony were to show appreciation to the retired officers and staff and pay tribute to their devotion in serving the ministry.

In addition, it also aimed to foster close relationship between retired officers and staff and those still in service.

The MoFE Retirement Gift Presentation Ceremony was organised by the Human Resource Development and Corporate Affairs Division of the ministry.

Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments and divisions and officials from the ministry.
