The Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam organised a blood donation drive yesterday in conjunction with the birthday celebration of King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, which falls on July 28.

A total of 55 pints of blood was collected at the blood donation drive, which also aimed to support the Blood Donation Centre at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.

Joining the donation drive was Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam, Boosara Kanchanali.

The ambassador also handed over Thai food as a token of appreciation to officers and staff of the Blood Donation Centre.

The blood donation drive was the sixth organised by the embassy following an encouraging response from the Thai Community and ‘Friends of Thailand’ since it was first held in 2019.
