The Ministry of Defence (MinDef) presented donations to 55 intending haj pilgrims from MinDef during a Jiwa Murni ceremony at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison yesterday.
The recipients comprised nine military in-service personnel and 30 retired military personnel, as well as nine in-service civil servants and seven retirees.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof presented contributions to the male intending haj pilgrims, while his spouse Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili presented the donations to the female intending haj pilgrims.
Officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi in a tazkirah on ‘Meraih Haji Yang Mabrur’, urged haj pilgrims to make preparations on health, spirituality and finances while avoiding negative traits.
The event concluded with a Sunnat Hajat prayer and Doa Selamat for the intending haj pilgrims.
Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and spouse, and Permanent Secretary at the MinDef Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin were present. – Azlan Othman
