Fifty-four pints of blood were collected in a campaign organised by Serikandi Group of Companies at Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) recently as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to replenish the blood supplies at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital.
With participation from its employees and stakeholders, the company also opened the campaign to the public.
Serikandi Group of Companies Chairman and Managing Director Shaikh Khalid bin Shaikh Haji Ahmad said, “Serikandi has taken up the cause of organising this blood donation campaign, which is a part of our core values of caring for our people and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
He added that the campaign was an opportunity to educate, spread awareness, and encourage others to bleed for a good cause.
The campaign was held with the support of companies under the Serikandi Group: Serikandi Café & Restaurant, Ya Nur Trading & Company, Serikandi Oilfield Services Sdn Bhd, Jisco Marine Sdn Bhd and Serikandi Kent Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd.
