A total of 504 individuals were granted Brunei citizenship during the 39th Brunei Citizenship Certificate Presentation Ceremony on Thursday at the Bridex Conference Hall in Jerudong.
Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the guest of honour, emphasised the importance of citizens strengthening their commitment to being responsible and loyal citizens. He also urged active participation in community activities at both national and local levels as a means of demonstrating allegiance to the king, religion, and country.
The minister also highlighted the crucial role of grassroots leaders through Mukim Consultative Council and Village Consultative Council in fostering unity within the community.
