Some 500 kilogrammes of trash was collected by 36 Lions Club of Belait members as part of a Joint Environment Project: Beach Clean, organised by the group yesterday along the beachfront of the Silver Jubilee Recreational Park in Kuala Belait.
The Defense Infrastructure Organisation, Belait District Scout Association, Baden Powell Guilds, KABC Contractors and Suppliers Sdn Bhd, and Marsee Engineering Service Sdn Bhd also participated in the clean-up.
Leading the campaign were Lions Club of Belait President Phyllis Jong and organising chairperson Alan Chee. – Daniel Lim
