The Embassy of Iran to Brunei Darussalam held a fun walk at Jalan Menteri Besar Recreation Park in Berakas on Sunday in the presence of Permanent Secretary (Sports) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud. The walk drew 50 participants with the Iranian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Homeira Rigi Zirouki and spouse, and Brunei Iran Friendship Association (BrIFA) President Yussof Halim.
The event, dubbed ‘Health & Friendship’, was held in collaboration with the BrIFA and to mark His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday celebrations.
Also participating in the walk were Iranian Embassy staff as well as members of the Brunei Council on Social Welfare, Halaqah group and BrIFA members. – Lyna Mohamad
