Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) celebrated 471 graduates at the 13th Hafl Al-Takharuj (Convocation Ceremony) today at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Chancellor of UNISSA presented certificates to graduates of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master’s Degree, Bachelor Degrees, Higher National Diplomas (HND), Higher Diploma and Diplomas in various fields and disciplines as well as Special Degree in 30 Juzuk Al-Quran Memorisation.
Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office as the Pro-Chancellor of UNISSA.
The monarch’s arrival was greeted by Minister of Education (MoE), Datin Seri Setia Dr Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh as Chairman of the UNISSA Council and Rector of UNISSA, Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal.
