A total of 46 children from 15 underprivileged families received assistance through the School Supply Drive 3.0 project, held recently at the Multipurpose Hall of Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.
An initiative by WeCare Association in collaboration with Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah mosque youth group, Syababurroja, the project aims to support underprivileged students in primary and secondary schools.
It is part of WeCare’s ongoing efforts to assist communities in need, with a primary focus on supporting the educational needs of children from low-income families. The project is divided into two phases.
The first phase, implemented in December 2024, involved the preparation and distribution of school supplies. The second phase, held last on January 29, featured a motivational talk aimed at inspiring and encouraging the children who received assistance in the first phase.
With the cooperation of Syababurroja, WeCare hopes that the School Supply Drive 3.0 project will have a positive impact on underprivileged children and their families, providing both moral and material support to help them succeed in their education. – Lyna Mohamad
