Some 45 mosque youth members and religious preachers in the Brunei-Muara District, who completed a two-day information literacy programme, attended a certificate presentation ceremony yesterday.
Acting Deputy Director of Information Department Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini presented the certificates.
The information literacy programme aims to expose the youth to information that can help them develop themselves.
Participants visited the Adat Istiadat Department and attended a briefing by Adat Istiadat Officer Mohd Zaizul bin Haji Daud on the role and importance of Bruneian customs and visited Pusat Bahagia of the Community Development Department in Pulaie to understand the concept of inclusivity, such as how to help visually-impaired people walk and learn letters and numbers.
The participants also learnt about business through Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) programmes such as its bootcamp in a briefing by DARe Executive Officer Muhammad Syu’aib bin Haji Ahmad Rafie. – Azlan Othman
