A blood donation campaign organised by Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB) Group of Companies at The Airport Mall saw nearly 40 pints of blood collected yesterday.
The event held in conjunction with World Blood Donor Day saw participation from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd (IITHSB) and Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd (DHSB) management and staff as well as the public. Perbadanan TAIB Managing Director Datin Hajah Hasnah binti Haji Ibrahim, IITHSB Acting Managing Director Haji Hassan bin Haris and DHSB Managing Director Haji Mahmud bin Haji Mohamed were present.
The campaign was part of the companies’ corporate social responsibility to initiate community service between institutions and individuals as well as encouraging positive contribution to society.
The campaign saw an encouraging response from employees and the public, highlighting the public’s strong motivation to donate.
Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan is collaborating with the Blood Donation Centre of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital in organising a blood donation drive this Saturday at the Atrium of OneCity Shopping Centre, from 10am to 2pm. – Azlan Othman & Rokiah Mahmud
