More than 40 representatives from various local businesses as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) attended a financial talk yesterday hosted by The Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (BOCHK) Brunei Branch in collaboration with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Belait District (CCC Belait) at the CCC building.
CCC Belait President Loo Soon Nin welcomed the contingent from BOCHK Brunei Branch, led by BOCHK General Manager Dr Li Feng.
The BOCHK general manager gave a brief speech on the history of the BOCHK Brunei Branch since its establishment in 2016, where progress has been made in the financial and economic sector between Brunei Darussalam and China. He hoped the talk would foster closer ties with local business owners and entrepreneurs in the Belait District.
The event began with Deputy General Manager Zheng Gang highlighting the advancement and development made in the world of financing, including e-commerce, helping bolster the economy. Meanwhile, Head of Corporate Banking Tony Qu along with Head of Retail Banking and Operations David Kwan shared the services offered by BOCHK Brunei Branch aiming to support local businesses.
The talk concluded with a question and answer session.
BOCHK Brunei Branch and CCC Belait hope the talk will help provide information to local business owners and entrepreneurs on how to better manage their financing.
