A total of 353.5 kilogrammes (kg) of trash was collected during a cleaning campaign organised by the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) in conjunction with the Day of Action campaign in Belait District yesterday.
The campaign was led by Acting Permanent Secretary (Fiscal II) at the MoFE Hajah Latifah binti Haji Mahmud, accompanied by heads of departments, senior officers and staff from the ministry in the surrounding areas of the government barracks along Jalan Panglima and near the Tudung Saji and Pekan Belait.
The campaign served to instil the spirit of volunteerism among ministerial staff in line with the goals of the Day of Action campaign as well as supporting the initiative led by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Youth and Sports Department in celebrating the International Volunteer Day observed on December 5 annually. – Daniel Lim
