An announcement of 34 semi-finalists of the Al-Quran Reading Competition for Adults at the District Level Nationwide was made at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis Madang yesterday.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim was the guest of honour.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from the event chairman.
Chairman of the Judges Panel Mohd Ali Sabri bin Haji Yusof announced the results.
The guest of honour presented souvenirs to the judges, as well as prizes and certificates to the participants.
The preliminary round ran from November 1 to 3, with 50 male and 10 female participants competing.
