34 off to Malaysia for ASEAN convention

Thirty-four members of the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB), led by PGGMB President Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Othman yesterday left the country to attend 37th ASEAN Council Teacher (ACT)+1 Convention held in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

During the convention, Hamdani Mustapa from Ministry of Education will be delivering a report titled, ‘Transforming of Assessment in Digital Work Force’.

Meanwhile, Rahimatul Nurin Afiqah Khairunnisa binti Abdul Rahim from PGGMB will be delivering a working paper on ‘Transforming Education Framework for Future Pedagogy Learning of Digital Education’. Both papers will be focusing on the digital transformation efforts to boost progress in education, including increasing facilities for digital studies in schools.

The convention is organised by National Union of Teaching Profession of Malaysia themed ‘Flexibility of Learning Experience through Hybrid Education’.

Some 600 participants are expected to attend the three-day convention and witness the signing of a joint resolution agreed by delegation heads from eight ASEAN member countries.
