263 COVID cases recover

Some 263 COVID-19 cases recovered yesterday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 218,735. The Sultanate also continued its streak of zero COVID-19 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

The latest update on the COVID-19 situation in Brunei Darussalam was shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its daily report.

Meanwhile, there are two cases in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit and five cases in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.

The inoculation statistics for children aged five to 11 with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are 82.9 per cent, while 56.6 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.

The coverage rate of the population with three shots of the vaccine remains at 76.9 per cent, while 9.2 per cent of the populace received the fourth dose.
