The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested 26 more individuals believed to be involved in a syndicated family drug ring, in the ongoing pursuit of Operation Ice Sibling from last December.

NCB officers targetted five locations simultaneously, carried out over January 10 and 11, in Kampong Lambak Kiri, Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata, Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan, Kampong Terunjing, Lupak Luas in the Brunei-Muara District and at Jalan Singa Menteri in the Belait District.

The detainees are 21 men and five women, aged 20 to 54.

Among the items seized from the raids were 18 grammes of syabu, BND288, digital scales, utensils used for consuming drugs and a car.

The NCB’s investigations revealed that the detainees are drug pushers and runners for the syndicate leader arrested in December.

It was also discovered that a man and woman arrested in the Belait District were drug pushers downtown.

The man is also identified as the younger brother to the main suspect who was arrested in Operation Black Widow.

Some of the detainees were also found to be clienteles.

The NCB stated that investigations will be carried out on the individuals for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act, Chapter 27 and the Criminal Asset Recovery Order 2012.
