The first special chartered flight carrying 251 pilgrims left for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia yesterday, with some 650 pilgrims set to perform umrah this month with Straits Central Agencies’ (B) Sdn Bhd (SCA).
SCA General Manager Nur Khadijah binti Abdullah and her team were at the Brunei International Airport to oversee the departure.
Each departure will include 50 to 100 umrah pilgrims, including those on umrah plus Dubai or Turkiye packages.
Last night also saw the departure of the Beijing Muslim group, with the Taiwan group departing on December 14 and more next year to Turkiye, Korea and Shanghai.
