Around 2,000 people attended a special talk on family happiness at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong on Monday evening.
Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim and spouse attended the event organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre in collaboration with the Mosque Affairs Department.
Asma’ Harun, a religious speaker from Malaysia, delivered a talk on the importance of following the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in building a happy and harmonious family.
The programme began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam followed by the special talk and concluding with the recitation of Surah al-’Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah Al-Majlis.
The event aimed to increase love and reverence for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), inspire the public, especially the Muslimah and provide insights to the youth under the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Youth Religious Programme. – Fadley Faisal & Lyna Mohamad
