Some 200 people attended a forum on ‘Palestine: The Promised Land,’ organised by the Syababurroja Youth Group of Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah at its premises in Kampong Kiarong recently.
The forum’s objective was to offer a comprehensive understanding, the history and issues associated with Palestine.
The forum, moderated by Awangku Muhammad Syafi’i bin Pengiran Haji Sofian, featured panellists including Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s assistant professor Dr Hajah Ummi Fa’izah binti Haji Abdul Rahman and Brunei Islamic Religious Council’s Muzhaffar bin Haji as panellists.
Among the topics discussed were the importance of learning Islamic history and being aware on the conditions of the global Muslim community. – Rokiah Mahmud
