Twenty Ministry of Health (MoH) medical officers will be on duty in Madinah and Makkah during the haj season.
They are sponsored by Insurans Islam TAIB General Takaful Sdn Bhd’s (IITGT) Duyufur Rahman Takaful Scheme.
This was disclosed during a briefing at MoH’s Al-‘Afiah Hall.
The Duyufur Rahman Takaful Scheme provides comprehensive haj pilgrimage takaful coverages spanning personal accident, medical expenses, travel inconvenience to medical assistance and repatriation.
IITGT General Manager Haji Zamrin bin Haji Abdul Ghani said the collaboration between the company and MoH reflects the ministry’s trust in IITGT to provide the best protection. It also shows the ministry’s concern for the welfare and well-being of the medical team.
The event continued with IITGT Senior Executive Officer Haji Md Faizal bin Haji Wahab giving a presentation on the takaful scheme.
IITGT Claims Section Manager Haji Shameon bin Tamil said this is the first time the insurance company is sponsoring a haj season medical team.
The event saw the handover of a replica of IITGT Duyufur Rahman Takaful Scheme policy by TAIB Holdings Acting Managing Director Edzwan Zukri bin Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan to Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin.
