Mitsubishi Corporation in collaboration with Green Brunei and support from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and Youth Development Centre at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports is implementing a month-long community development programme in Kampong Ayer.
Twenty water village residents joined the first cooking and baking workshop to learn making ayam penyet and pizza. The project is aimed at helping the Kampong Ayer community learn new knowledge and skills to generate income through home-based business. They will be given an opportunity to sell their products under MoHA’s programmes.
There will be seven workshops as well as a project to repair boardwalks in Kampong Sungai Pandan. The programme demonstrates Mitsubishi Corporation’s commitment to support community development in Brunei.
