172 schools receive road safety books

The Curriculum Development Department at the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Road Safety National Council (MKKJR) at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, yesterday held a socialisation and distribution session for the book, Adab dan Keselamatan Kitani Di Jalan Raya, at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School, Kampong Katok.

The briefing was delivered by Acting Senior Special Duties Officer from the Department of Curriculum Development Dayangku Hajah Rosminah binti Pengiran Haji Alli and Deputy Director of MKKJR Haji Mohammad Syafien bin Yandol.

The event ended with the distribution of books by the appointed committees to 116 public primary schools, 51 private schools, and five from Arabic schools.

The book is aimed at inculcating, raising awareness on road safety aspects among primary school students as well as enhancing their knowledge on the basics of road safety.
