Some 171 guests recently attended a charity event dubbed ‘Senyuman Aidilfitri’ at the Beribi Eats in Kampong Beribi.
“Despite being at very end of the month of Syawal, the warmth and joy of Hari Raya were still evident throughout the event,” it said in a statement.
Contributions, including food hampers and green packets, were distributed to the underprivileged, to ease their financial burdens.
“The event was not just about providing assistance to the less fortunate, but also to enrich the souls of those involved and strengthened bonds of kinship. We also hope this spirit of kindness will continue to be strengthened and benefit the wider community,” said Halwun Rezqin project head Etta Hassem.
