    170th Munajat marks International Customs Day

    Islam encourages followers to be sincere and diligent in every task, said Director of the Public and International Relations Centre at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Dr Mohammad Hilmy Baihaqy bin Haji Yussof during a tazkirah at the 170th Munajat Khas on Saturday.

    The Munajat, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs with the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Royal Customs and Excise Department, was held at Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis/Madang to mark International Customs Day.

    Dr Mohammad Hilmy Baihaqyalso quoted from Surah Al-Mulk, verse 2, “It is He (Allah the Almighty) who created death and life to test you, which of you is best in deed. He is the Almighty, the most forgiving.”

    The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Tahlil. The Doa Munajat was read by Mosque Affairs Officer at the Mosque Affairs Department at the MoRA Muhammad Amin bin Haji Salim.

    The event included a collective recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah and ended with a protection prayer led by Mosque Affairs Officer Nuzli bin Haji Jumat. – Fadley Faisal
