Some 17 members of the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque Takmir Committee members yesterday left the Sultanate to participate in the ‘Jejak Silaturahim Ke Aceh dan Medan’ programme which runs from today until November 3.
Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque advisor Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong led the delegation.
The programme aims to foster cooperation and ties with the Muslim community in Aceh and Medan, and provide a platform for the exchange of information and ideas on dakwah and religious development as well as discuss religious activities conducted in Aceh and Medan.
During the six-day visit, the delegation will meet local Islamic scholars and visit mosques, religious schools and institutions, museums and similar sites. – Rokiah Mahmud
