Some 17 heads of families affected by flooding, fire and house collapse received financial assistance from the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, through the Community Development Department under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) at Citra Budaya Hall of the MCYS building yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad presented the aid to the recipients.
Of the recipients, three families were victims of house fires, one of house collapse, five impacted by flooding and eight affected by strong wind.
All victims did not sustain any injuries during the incidents. – James Kon
