17.6 per cent of children received COVID vaccine

Some 6,811 children aged five to 11 have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. The number amounts to 17.6 per cent of children in the age group.

This was revealed by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference yesterday.The minister said 757 shots were administered to children aged five to 11 on Tuesday.

Parents and guardians are urged to have their children vaccinated by booking a slot at vaccination centres through the BruHealth app.

They are also reminded to register an account and complete the authentication process on the BruHealth app in preparation for the vaccination.

Meanwhile, 62.4 per cent of the Brunei population have received the third dose of the vaccine.

Vaccination centres’ operation hours during Ramadhan are from 8.30am to 1pm from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday. The centres are closed on Fridays, Sundays and public holidays.
