168 join association iftar event

The National Association for the Hearing-Impaired (OKP) held an iftar event at the Silaturahim Hall of Bandar Seri Begawan Youth Centre on Saturday.

Association President Pengiran Haji Norahalim bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman was present with 168 OKP members and their families.

The association has planned several activities to enliven Ramadhan including OKP Prihatin Project on the fourth week and OKP Hari Raya celebration on April 30.

Other programmes include the participation of OKP athletes in the 2nd ASEAN Deaf Sports Singapore 2024 as well as 10-pin bowling, tug-of-war, badminton and futsal championships.

Annual projects, such as Family Day celebration, sign language classes and workshops, will also be held at the OKP headquarters in Berakas.

An entrepreneurship programme has also been lined up to encourage OKP members to start their own home-based business.
