The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held an Outstanding Awards Ceremony on Friday at the Defence Academy Auditorium in Tanah Jambu to honour the academic achievements of the children of its personnel for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, as the Guest of Honour, graced the occasion.
A total of 163 children received the excellence and appreciation awards in the form of certificates and gifts for their outstanding results in General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘A’ Level, GCE ‘O’ Level, Brunei Religious Education Certificate (SPUB), Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate (SPTUB), Sijil Sekolah-Sekolah Rendah Ugama (SSSRU) and Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (PSR) respectively.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Defence, the annual event aims to convey an appreciation to the children of RBAF officers and personnel who have achieved excellent academic results as well as encouraging them in continuously pursuing excellence.
Additionally, it said such events also serve as an encouragement for RBAF officers and personnel to remain committed to their children’s education, aiming to achieve the goals of Brunei Vision 2035 particularly in producing educated, highly skilled, and successful citizens.
The event was also attended by Members of the RBAF Executive Committee, Senior Officers, parents and guardians of the award recipients.
