Sixteen heads of families affected by flooding, house fires and collapsed houses received financial assistance from the government through the Community Development Department (JAPEM) under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) recently.
Acting Permanent Secretary (Community) at the MCYS Dr Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah presented the financial assistance in Dewan Citra, KKBS.
Ten heads of families were victims of house fire while three were impacted by collapsed houses and another three by flooding incidents.
All affected residents did not sustain injuries during the incidents, said the agency in a statement. – James Kon
