150 briefed on importance of Maqasid Syariah in management

Some 150 attended a briefing on Brunei Darussalam Maqasid Syariah in the Management and Administration Strategic Project, hosted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) at the MoFE building yesterday.

The briefing, facilitated by Special Duties Officer Level II Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid and Mosque Affairs Officer Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin, aimed to provide an understanding on the importance of Maqasid principles in the governance of an organisation and the daily life of civil servants.

It also highlighted the effectiveness of Maqasid Syariah in management and administration in the Sultanate.

Topics covered included an introduction to the MoRA’s strategic project in strengthening the Maqasid Syariah in the Sultanate’s management and administration, the relationship between Maslahah and Maqasid Syariah, the application of the five principles of Maqasid Syariah in governance, and cultivating an appreciation of Maqasid Syariah.

A workshop on Maqasid Syariah will be held on June 18.
