Some 140 personnel under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism yesterday attended a ‘Mental Health and Well-Being at the Workplace’ roadshow at the ministry’s premises.
Since last October, the roadshow has been held at various ministries to raise awareness, prevent and manage mental health issues while reducing the stigma surrounding them in the workplace.
On hand to facilitate the roadshow were Dr Dayangku Raidah Hayati binti Pengiran Dr Haji Mohamed from the Department of Psychiatric at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital and Head of Counselling and Islamic Understanding at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid.
The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health, the MoRA and the Prime Minister’s Office, supported by the Workplace and Health programme, the Health Promotion Centre, Clarity Sdn Bhd and the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society. – James Kon
