Some 13 photos on Brunei’s nature, out of more than 100 submissions, captured the judges’ hearts and were selected for the 2023 edition of the Panaga School calendar photo contest.
The judges comprising members of the school’s Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) announced the winners at a prize-giving at the school’s Rampayoh Campus on November 22.
The school’s PTA President Marie Tupper said 108 photos were submitted by 26 families living in Panaga. “The theme for the calendar was ‘Colour of Nature’ and we were spoilt for choice as the majority of the submissions captured the essence of the nature in the area,” she said.
She added that the 2023 edition represents the sixth edition of calendars printed for the school, and this year marks the return of the calendar after the COVID-19 pandemic.
PTA Treasurer Kamila Rosa Celik said the photo gallery is a first for the school.
The calendar is scheduled to be released in the first week of December and is printed by the Commercial Printing Services of Brunei Press Sdn Bhd.
Principal Cindy Tahal also participated.
