124 male and 46 female recruits complete RBAF basic training

The Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF) on Friday marked the successful completion of Basic Military Training by 124 male recruits of the 175th Intake and 46 female recruits of the 59th Intake with a Passing Out Parade Ceremony, held at the Parade Square, Penanjong Garrison.

The ceremony’s Guest of Honour was Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin Bin Matserudin, RBN.

The ceremony began with a parade inspection by the Guest of Honour, followed by a march-past that showcased the discipline and dedication instilled in the recruits throughout their training.

The Guest of Honour then delivered a speech emphasising the RBAF’s core values, discipline, and the importance of maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual resilience as the foundation for their military careers.

He also reminded the recruits of their important role in defending Brunei Darussalam’s sovereignty, peace, and security. The Guest of Honour extended heartfelt congratulations to all the recruits for their achievement and urged them always to uphold the highest level of professionalism and integrity in their duty as members of the RBAF.

As recognition of their outstanding performances throughout the training, awards were presented to the recruits and instructors who excelled in their respective categories. For the Male Recruits of the 175th Intake, the Overall Best Recruit was awarded to Recruit (U) Muhammad Harith bin Dahlan, the Best in Military Skills was awarded to Recruit Mohammad Syazwan bin Mohammad Khairulannuar, the Best in Light Weapon Training was awarded to Recruit Md Shahezzul bin Sariman and the Best in Physical Training was awarded to Recruit Muhammad Illiya Wafiuddin Bin Abdullah Romie.

Outstanding recruits and instructors who excelled in their respective categories. 

Additionally, the Best Section Commander Award was given to Corporal Muhamad Far’an bin Hamdani@Lileysurayani, and the Best Platoon Sergeant Award was given to Corporal Mohammad Khairul Azwan bin Abd Hamid for their exceptional leadership and commitment throughout the training.

For the Female Recruits of the 59th Intake, the Overall Best Recruit was awarded to Recruit Multazamah Siti Zuhairah Binti Zulkifli, the Best in Military Skills was awarded to Recruit Nuha Nadzirah binti Abdullah Md Salleh, the Best in Light Weapon Training was awarded to Recruit Ummi Shuheida binti Mohd Nurfadillah and the Best in Physical Training was awarded to Recruit Nursyafiqah Nabilah binti Mohammad Haslan. The Best Section Commander Award was presented to Lance Corporal Farah Izzah@ Fatin Faizah Binti Samat.

The ceremony concluded with the recitation of doa by Yang Mulia Captain Abdul Mu’iz Azizi bin Zulkifli, from the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT).
