A total of 120 young players under the guidance of Dash Football Academy (DFA) took part in a Mini Football Festival 2022 organised by DFA at the Rimba Secondary School football field.

One of the main activities during the event was a football competition featuring under eight, 10, 12 and 14 players.

The best player for the under-14s category went to Nurzharif Hadri bin Noradli while Awangku Sharif Ahsan bin Pengiran Haji Mohiddin was named the best player for the under-12s category.

Other best player recipients also included Md Raihan bin Rasyidi in the under-10s category and Awangku Md Wafiy Ilman bin Pengiran Md Hanis Marzuqi in the under-8s category.

DFA Head Coach Pengiran Mohd Shahrom bin Pengiran Haji Ismail said, “Among the objectives of the event were to strengthen closer ties among players, coaches, parents or guardians and local businesses; provide early exposure to the DFA players before joining local or international competitions; and raise awareness concerning the needs and interests to provide support and encouragement to players at the grassroots level.”

The academy has also announced plans to hold a Football Festival in December 2022 where they propose to invite local football academies and also from neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
