120 participate in religious programme

Some 120 attended the launch of a religious programme yesterday to encourage Muslims to embrace Al-Quran and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The programme organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) also highlighted the significance of reciting Surah Al-Kahfi every Friday. It was conducted online via Zoom attended by the public and Da’ie Youth Volunteer Body committee members.

PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour. The event began with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Sayyidul Istighfar led by Leadership and Spiritual ExCo member of Belia Da‘ie Adib Zainul Zaky bin Haji Abdul Manaf.

Da’ie Youth Chairman Muhamad Fuad bin Matahir expressed appreciation for the body’s committee members efforts and the continuous support from the Youth Religious Programme Secretariat in conducting Belia Da’ie’s programmes and activities.

The programme then was launched with the recitation of the first 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahfi, followed by a Tadabbur session on Verses 1-10 of Surah Al-Kahfi by Religious Officer at PDI Siti Juhaidah binti Haji Bujang.

The event concluded with the recitation of Doa against COVID-19, Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam, Tasbih Kaffarah and Surah Al-‘Asr.
