    12 students heading to France for Rugby World Cup

    A signing ceremony for the sponsorship of Youth in Action: Road to Rugby World Cup was held at Tarindak D’Seni in the capital yesterday.

    The project as part of TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) BV’s corporate social responsibility programme was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education (MoE).

    Contributors included Dowell Schlumberger, SPIE Oil and Gas Services Sdn Bhd and SPHI Foods.

    Twelve students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Politeknik Brunei, Sports School, Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School and Jerudong International School will leave for France on October 5 and are scheduled to return on October 12.

    They will watch two matches and visit French landmarks as well as L’industreet and Novaedi. Acting Director of Co-Curriculum Education Department at MoE Haji Julaihi bin Haji Mohamad/Mohamat, French Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Bernard Regnauld-Fabre and TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) BV General Manager Jerome Saniez were present. – Lyna Mohamad
