The Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) recently carried out a series of operations across the Sultanate.

Three foreign nationals were arrested at a sawmill in Mukim Batu Apoi, Temburong District and four at a rental house in Kuala Belait for the offences such as working with an employer not states in the employment pass, overstaying in the country and failing to present any valid travel documents.

Meanwhile, four foreign nationals were arrested during an inspection on a manufacturing company in Mukim Sengkurong for working under social visit passes.

The INRD, in a statement released yesterday, urged public members with information on immigration offences to contact its hotline at 8734888 or 8753888 for Brunei-Muara District or 8984111 for Belait District. – Azlan Othman
