The Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Kampong Manggis/Madang celebrated its 10th anniversary with a marathon yesterday.
Mohd Zaim bin Haji Matussin and Nurdiyanah Siew emerged as the winners in the 10-kilometre (km) run. Haji Hassan bin Kamis topped the men’s senior veterans category, while Sefli Ahar won in the men‘s junior veterans category. Ahmad Zawawi Rasit was the winner in the men’s open category, and Qinm Chin topped in the women’s open category.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha presented prizes to the winners.
Before the marathon, a religious talk was held after Subuh prayer, followed by a 2.5km walkathon for Palestine. – Azlan Othman
