104 students feted at graduation ceremony

A total of 104 graduates from Kolej International Graduate Studies (Kolej IGS) were feted during a graduation ceremony at the college’s hall yesterday. Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah was present at the ceremony.

The event began with a recitation of Al-Quran verses by Ahmad Sauja’iee bin Begawan Mudim Haji Metassim followed by welcoming remarks from IGS Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Mohd Jamil in his capacity as the chair of the organising committee.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin presented certificates and three special awards to the graduates.

Special Award recipient, Nur’Ezzah Azeemah binti Ahmad, who is also a recipient of the First Class Honours Award, received the Pengiran Setia Jaya Excellence Award from the minister.

Themed ‘Raising Digital Entrepreneurship’, the ceremony highlighted the role of higher education in entrepreneurship in support of Brunei Vision 2035, with emphasis on integrating business, information technology and self development skills to generate employment opportunities. – Lyna Mohamad
