One hundred and four pints of blood were collected during a blood donation drive organised by imagine Sdh Bhd at the Airport Mall in Berakas yesterday.
The donation drive, held in conjunction with imagine’s second anniversary, was part of the company’s community engagement activities to help those in need.
The initiative, supported by the Airport Mall, was also held in response to reports of low supply of blood at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Bank, which prompted authorities to issue calls for donors.
imagine CEO Suzannawati binti Haji Suharju participated, joined by other imagineers.
The public who donated were given free imagine products, services and merchandise as tokens of appreciation.
The donation drive followed earlier corporate social responsibility activities including a Doa Selamat, Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil event at the Balai Ibadat Kampong Sungai Pandan, where imagine donated several items and packed meals for children, the elderly, and differently-abled from the area and neighbouring villages, and donation presentation to the Seria Old Folks Home, held in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.
Meanwhile, imagine is accepting past paper-based calendars across all branches for recycling in exchange for the imagine 2022 calendars until March, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to support imagine’s paperless initiative aimed at reducing its carbon footprints.
