The Brunei-Muara District Scouts Association yesterday held a cleaning campaign at Tang Selangan Farm in Kampong Tungku Katok as part of a joint project with the Kampong Tungku Katok Village Consultative Council.

A hundred kilogrammes of discards were picked up in the project, held in conjunction with the Clean Up the World 2022 programme organised by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) with support from World Organization of Scout Movement (WOSM) as well as other non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

Scouts President cum guest of honour Dato Paduka Haji Ar Idris bin Haji Abas attended the event with Brunei-Muara District Scout Commissioner Skip Samsuddin bin Haji Ahmad.

The event involved the participation of 80 members from 15 groups under the association, comprising scout commissioners, scout leaders, as well as cub, junior, rover, sea and air scouts from across the Sultanate. The programme aimed to raise environmental awareness among the younger generation.
