018 MMA became champions of the Hanmadang Overall Club category in the 2nd Korean Ambassador Cup International Taekwondo Championship Finals yesterday.
The tournament, held since Tuesday at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, was hosted by the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam in close cooperation with Brunei Darussalam Taekwondo Association.
Ambassador of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Kim Soung-eun was the guest of honour.
Officers from the Youth and Sports Department of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports were also present.
Meanwhile, Wan Muhd Aryan Zaydani bin Wan Muhd Azem from 018 MMA bagged the medal for best male participant, along with United Taekwondo Gym’s Muhd Aqiel Taym bin Sallehudim and Emmanuel Lim Chen Chon from United Taekwondo Sabah Association.
The closing event of the tournament began with the hanmadang event for the Hand Knife Breaking and Fist Breaking categories.
The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of medals for the winners of the Speed Kicking, High Jump, Long Jump, Hand Knife and Fist Breaking categories.
The event was held in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2022.
