The Department of Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday distributed across the nation batches of Zikir (remembrance of Allah the Almighty) and Doa (supplications) books, which seeks Allah the Almighty’s help in keeping the nation safe from calamities and diseases.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri distributed the prayer books to customers at the McDonald’s Drive Thru and Jollibee Drive Thru in Lambak Kanan.
In the Tutong, Temburong and Belait districts, selected petrol stations were used as distribution points for the books, which included COVID-19 facts and preventive measures.
Head of Religious Officer (Tutong District) Haji Azman bin Haji Musa handed out the books at the Penyurat Haji Abu Bakar Filling Station in Kampong Suran, while Head of Religious Officer (Temburong District) Haji Jamil bin Haji Abdul Ghani distributed at the Nagalang Filling Station.
Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the event was held at the Sungai Bakong Filling Station in Lumut.
Acting Head of Religious Officer (Belait District) Mohammad Noorsuffian bin Haji Yahya distributed the books. He was accompanied by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Haslan bin Haji Shahbudin. Mashhor Corporate HSSE Manager Rizal bin Dr Haji Abdul Latif delivered a briefing prior to the start of the event.
Members from the Mosque Affairs Department and petrol station also handed out the prayer books to motorists.
Similar events were held at TAIB Beribi Petrol Station and at the McDonald and Jolibee Drive-thru in Perpindahan Lambak Kanan on April 1.
The Mosque Affairs Department and Government Printing Department have produced 15,000 prayer books to be distributed to the government and private sectors. At the same time, the public can download the prayer book by scanning the QR code at www.kheu.gov.bn.
