YAYASAN Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) School officially reopened its library yesterday after completion of renovation works to add a learning space area.
Present to officiate the opening was guest of honour Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Managing Director of Yayasan.
The additional learning space is aimed at facilitating teaching and enhancing the learning experience of the students, which in turn is hoped to motivate them to study better, explained YSHHB School CEO Noorhaizamdin bin Haji Mohd Mosbi in his remarks.
“Improving our school’s infrastructure and teaching and learning setting is one of the focus areas towards realising our schools’ vision of being a first-choice private school in Brunei Darussalam by providing the highest level of teaching and learning experience,” he said.
“Learning space” refers to a conducive physical learning environment where optimal teaching and learning occur. The term is more commonly used in reference to classroom settings.
The newly renovated school library is now given a fresh modern design and equipped with private study rooms and comfortable reading corners. Already there are plans to introduce a Library Management System at the library, which will see more computers and other related facilities being installed.
Others present at the event include administration staff from YSHHB School, members of the Parents-Teachers Association, as well as a number of students who conducted learning demonstrations.
